Save Money: Know the Brushes You Need for Your Makeup!

I’m on a budget, aren’t we all…but my budget is pocket sized! So i was reading the MakeupGeek (my fav blog) and they suggested the essential brushes necessary so Ive provided a summary of their post(full link below)…
So What Do You Need?
1. Flat Stiff Brush (MAC 239): Flat enough to pat on your eyelid, stiff enough to pick up and pack on a lot of color from the pigment.
2. Stiff Dome Brush (MAC 217): It’s perfect  for blending in dark color, really good for putting color in your crease (perfect for smokey eye lovers)
3. Soft Dome Brush (MAC 224): This softens lines and colors on your lids, I really like this brush, it’s helped me create daytime smokey eyes.
4. Pencil Brush (MAC 219): This is great for giving your eyes color for eyeshadow on your lower lash line and inner corners. I love it!
5. Stippling Brush (MAC 130): I agree with MakeupGeek with this: The brush must be stiff..if it’s flimsy, you’ll look like a zebra (hopefully you get my reference) your foundation wont be on all parts of your face evenly.
6. Contour Brush (MAC 109): This is great if you want to make your cheeks seem slimmer by making your cheek bones stand out with a darker powder placed under your cheek bones with the contour brush!
7. Angled Blush Brush (MAC 168): It’s perfectly angled for getting the apples of cheeks and the soft bristles are perfect for the right amount of color.
8. Highlighter Brush (MAC 188): This is good because it doesnt pick up a lot of color, its small so you can use it for a light shimmer or bronze.
I added the MAC references on the side, so that it’s easy for you to search for the brushes, and find comparable brushes !
These are the brushes that Marlena has suggested, but I would add on for your body, a large Kabuki Brush If you wanna add just a bit of powder or bronzer or anything to your chest and neck a nice large kabuki brush does the trick!
