Well into summer, its time to give my followers some knowledge of my summer daily makeup routine. I’ve always wanted to find people on youtube or blogs that matched my facial features to see what they’ve done, exactly, as a guide for me: I haven’t found a great match, so I hope I serve as a guide for others ! (also see below for one of my friend’s daily makeup routine!)
My skin type: oily. My skin tone: im tan with golden undertones. Small Eyes. Thin, yet arched eyebrows. Full lips.

1. Even though I have oily skin, I moisturize before i put anything on. I use any lotion in my house, or if I’m feeling fancy, i jack my mom’s Olay skin regenerating serum, and just put a dab on my face. I really don’t use a lot of lotion at all…maybe like a dime size and spread it around my face.
2. I found the best damn primer for oily skin, it is heaven. TRUST ME on this one. It’s hard finding primers for oily skin, because most primers are oily lol for people with combination or dry skin. But this one is just beyonce amazing, my makeup has been looking 5 star ever since i started using it. It’s not expensive either, and a little goes a long way! It is the NYX Studio Perfect Photo Loving Primer
It comes in green for covering redness, lavender for anti-dull skin, and clear. I have lavender just because they didn’t have clear… I dont see an anti-dull skin effect, im not sure what that means, but its the most amazing primer… so I guess I’ll just buy clear next time and see the difference.
2. Next is my concealer dilemma: I haven’t found the perfect concealer yet..so I don’t really use one, suggestions would be appreciated =).
I just go to foundation: NEXT!
As of late I’ve been using Maybelline Fit ME liquid foundation in 320 Honey Beige. Now here is my long winded foundation with Maybelline story. My absolute go -to favorite foundation is the Dream Matte Mousse in Toffee Dark 0: no other foundation has matched me more perfectly than that… but It’s so hard to find! I was in limbo for too long, so I gave in on the Fit Me in honey beige. i was hesitant because honey beige in dream matte mousse foundation was too light for me, but i had to do what i had to do! And in fact the liquid foundation fit me honey beige fits me well, it darker than the mousse.

Anywho sorry for the rant, but yes I use a liquid foundation. just a few dabs two on each cheek (chubby cheeks, much to cover lol) one dab on nose forehead, and chin.
3. My eyes are next! Prime them first using an elf primer. Then base them to make the colors really pop with my NYX eyeshadow base.
I really love these products, especially the NYX eyeshadow base. It’s really sticky so the eyeshadow never leaves. I had to take a quick nap today, and I woke up! makeup still in tact eyeshadow poppin and no creases!
4. Eyeshadow time: Covergirl Exact Eyelights Eye Brightening Eyeshadowshelps me out here! Everday I use the same palette: for the simple go to work or class look , you know, nothing fancy!
First of all, the brush that comes with it , is probably my favorite eyeshadow brush, legit, it packs on the color, its sturdy, its the perfect size and shape, love it. I mainly use the gold and highlighter color here. And I do the usual, highlighting my inner corners and my brow bone, then i pack on the gold on the lid, and maybe if i feel like sprucing it up I take my ELF eyeshadow palette and use yellow and brown with the gold I’ve used already to make a daytime blended look :)
5. I have small eyes, so I def need some sort of eyeliner to make my eyes seem bigger and pop! I use Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Liner.I do a thin line near the lash line to make the eyes pop, sometimes i do the full eye, sometimes i start at the middle and work my way out, depends how I’m feeling!
But my friend Caterina (see the post about her below!) has introduced me to an amazing and even easier to use liquid eyeliner pen, Fabuliner. I LOVE IT! I use both of these eyelienrs, whichever I grab first in the morning!
6. I have like a trillion mascaras, and I love them all equally. But the one I probably use the most is my Maybelline Waterproof Lash Voluptuous Mascara in Very Black. I love it, it defines, separates, lengthens, volumizes, everything! It’s not the best in waterproof, but it will get you looking fabulous if you just want an overall amazing mascara.
7. Pink is my favorite color, so you know I have to put the bomb.com blush on ! I use Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Soft Plum =)
8. I love looking golden! So my bronzer is great: Covergirl TruBlend Minerals Bronzer in Golden Sunrise!
9. On the daily for my lips, I would say I smack on some lip balm, EOS in summer fruit for conditioning!
Then I use NYX lipstick in Cinnamon Spice , and even sometimes NYX lipliner in beige!
Finish it off with whatever lipgloss i want from my mom’s sephora pack =)
10. I like to set this all in with a setting spray. I use ELF’s setting mist and and it’s amazing, lightweight, and wakes u up in the morning!
That is ALL IT TAKES for me everyday. 10 steps - 10 minutes :) Yeah, I dont want to tell you how long it takes to do my hair…thats another post.
But anyways don’t forget to clean your brushes ! I use ELF cleansing spray everyday on my brushes, and Cleaning shampoo every week :)
